It seems I have so many secrets hidden deep in the recesses of my brain that I have forgotten about. Earlier, it was Microsoft Surface Computing, now it's Google Gears. Google Gears is an extension that allows web applications to add offline functionality to the experience. It's good for when you are offline or know you are about to have bad internet connection. I remember going to a Google tech talk (or talking to a Googler) about this, can't remember any technical details so will have to read the docs like everyone.
